HER (Honest. Experienced. Real)
When you get together with an incredible group of women, some of whom you haven’t seen in awhile (looking at you, Laura Scripture) for a personable, hard-hitting panel filled with insights and laughter, it makes for an extraordinary Thursday evening.
I attended the first meeting of HERTable (Honest. Experienced. Real.), created by longtime friend and CREW SF colleague Samantha S. Low, LEED AP (羅淑華). While the evening was framed around Project Management, the conversation quickly opened up—driven by thoughtful questions and generous insights from the moderators. I’ve been to many events like this, and yet this one felt so comfortable and easy to connect with the people in attendance. I credit Samantha for setting a tone that was both engaging and welcoming.
Thank you to the panelists— Jenny F. at Hudson Pacific, Ifeatu Samuel of Canopy Property Management, Grace Hwang, NCIDQ, LEED AP of Facilities Corporation, and Laura Scripture, owner of Summit Construction Management. Your nuggets of wisdom, from the myth of the linear career path to saying yes to fun things had me thinking, and laughing out loud.
