The Best View in the City
I’ve always loved watching real estate take shape—especially in San Francisco. From early community engagement to walking through a brand-new retail center, I find myself studying developments at every stage.
Like so many San Franciscans, I’ve been eager to see the latest chapter in the transformation of Treasure Island. That’s why I headed to the opening of Cityside Park this past Saturday.
Watching my sons and their friends play, taking in skyline views, and enjoying Off the Grid’s food offerings reminded me of the enormous effort behind a project like Treasure Island.
A highlight for me was the new Ned Kahn installation. 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘱𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘬𝘺—a 28-foot-wide kinetic sculpture that reflects the movement of fog and wind—shows how public art can elevate a shared space and connect people to place.
The Treasure Island Development Group and its partners have delivered something special with Cityside Park. A huge nod to everyone who brought this vision to life (looking at you Lindsay Vargo).
If you’re in the Bay Area, carve out some time to visit Treasure Island—it’s well worth the trip.
